the journey from talent to value. simplified.

Go ahead and measure the talent you’ve got!

Talent is crucial to any organisation. But how can we improve something that cannot be measured? Talent is something which is innate to an individual. It is the ability and the capability to achieve results. So it is fair to assume that talent precedes results. Taking this relationship forward is Dr.Sullivan who makes a fair attempt to measure the value of talent in this article.

  1. I agree that Talent is innate but why do most people fail to discover their talents and more importantly why do they not follow their dreams and work in areas related to their talent?

  2. I just wrote a book on this topic of “TALENT”. Titled: “You don’t need Talent to Succeed, but Everything else Counts”. Would love to hear back from you.

    • Hi,

Interesting title that! The first thought that strikes my mind here is the larger question of what do we define as talent. Is there a process to draw the boundaries of what we can categorise as talent. What influences the development of talent or its decline and whether ensuring a favorable climate to develop talent is sufficient enough to guarantee talent development in an individual or an organisation. Or do we roll back to the forlorn theories of how adversity brings out the best out of an individual. Worth a ponder, don’t you think?

P.S: Will definitely try to get my hands on your book and post comments. Thanks for reading!
